Is this video real?

Paste a link from TikTok, an Instagram Reel or a Facebook video. Detectly downloads the video and checks it frame by frame: the picture, the motion between frames and the small details AI tools still get wrong.

Is this photo real?

Upload a photo from your device. Detectly looks for the traces image generators leave behind, and tells you if it looks authentic, shows mixed signals, or looks AI-generated. For the best result, upload the original image, not a screenshot.

Is this person real?

Many AI influencers look perfectly real. Besides the video itself, Detectly also checks clear signals around the post, like captions that say a video was made with AI, or accounts known to post AI content.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

Is Detectly free?

Yes, you can start for free. With a confirmed email you get 6 free credits every day. A video scan uses 6 credits and an image scan 1 credit. If you scan a lot, you can buy more credits or a plan.

Which links can I scan?

Links to TikTok videos, Instagram Reels and video posts, and Facebook videos and reels. The post has to be public. Photo posts can't be scanned by link yet: save the photo and upload it instead.

Can the result be wrong?

Yes. No AI detector is perfect, and the newest AI tools are built to slip past detection. Heavy filters or edits can also confuse any detector. That's why we show "Mixed signals" when the evidence isn't clear, and why we suggest scanning 2–3 videos from the same account for a clearer picture.

How does Detectly work?

For a link, we download the video and analyze many frames: the picture itself, how things move between frames, and fine details. We also check clear signals like captions that disclose AI. Then you get one of three results with a short explanation.

What happens to the files I upload?

Your file is sent to our servers only to run the scan. We keep the scan result in your history. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Is there an app?

Yes, Detectly is on Android. In the app you can share a video straight from TikTok, Instagram or Facebook to Detectly, without copying links. The website and the app have separate accounts.
