Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Detectly: the Detectly app for Android and iPhone and the website getaidetect.com (together, "Detectly"). Detectly is run by Promotexx LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us").

By creating an account or using Detectly, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Detectly.

1. What Detectly does

Detectly checks videos, images and text you send to it, for example by sharing or pasting a link from TikTok, Instagram or Facebook, or by uploading a file. It tells you whether it found signs that the content was made or changed with AI. Every scan ends with one of three results: Authentic, Mixed signals or AI-generated.

2. Results can be wrong

• Our results come from automated analysis. No AI detector is perfect, and the newest AI tools are built to slip past detection.
• "Authentic" means we found nothing suspicious. It does not prove that something is real. "AI-generated" means we found strong AI-typical patterns. It does not prove that something is fake.
• Don't rely on Detectly alone for important decisions, such as sending money, legal matters, news reporting, hiring or decisions about a person.
• Detectly is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that results will be accurate, complete or available at all times.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law in your country requires it, to use Detectly. If you're under 18, use Detectly only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
• Give us a real email address and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account). What happens to your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Fair use

Please use Detectly in a fair and legal way. You agree not to:

• send content that is illegal, or content you have no right to access or share;
• use results to harass, bully, threaten, shame or publicly accuse anyone;
• present a Detectly result as proof or as an official verdict about a person or their content;
• try to break, overload, copy or reverse-engineer Detectly, or get around its limits, payments or security checks;
• use bots, scripts or many accounts to collect free credits or to scan in bulk without our written permission;
• resell Detectly or its results as your own service.

If someone breaks these rules, we may limit or close their account.

5. Credits, plans and payments

• Scans use credits. The number of credits a scan uses, and the free credits you can get, are shown in the app and on the website. We may change them in the future; this won't affect credits you have already bought.
• If a scan fails on our side, the credits for that scan come back to you automatically.
• In the app, purchases and subscriptions are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Their payment, renewal and refund rules apply. You can cancel a subscription at any time in your Google Play or App Store account settings; it then stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Deleting the app or your Detectly account does not cancel a subscription. Please cancel it in your store account.
• Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred to another account.

6. Content you send

• The videos, images, text and links you send remain yours, or their owner's. You give us permission to process them only as needed to run the scan and show you the result.
• How we handle your data, what we keep and for how long is explained in our Privacy Policy.
• Detectly is not connected to, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or any other platform. Their names are used only to describe where a link comes from.

7. Our app and brand

Detectly, its design, software, logo and name belong to Promotexx LLC. You may use Detectly for your own personal use under these terms. You may share your own results, for example with the share button.

8. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Promotexx LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss caused by relying on a Detectly result. If we are liable to you for anything, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

9. Changes and ending the service

• We keep improving Detectly, so features may change, be added or be removed.
• We may update these terms. If the changes are important, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using Detectly after that, you accept the new terms.
• If we ever stop offering Detectly, we'll tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If you live in a country whose consumer laws give you more protection, those protections still apply to you.
